A MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor for XAUUSD that trades one direction at a time (BUY or SELL, whichever signal is stronger). It opens stop orders one by one, up to 5, instead of throwing a full grid at the market. It also uses 10-pip trailing steps and a 30-pip cut loss.
It does not add lots to losing positions. By default every order has the same size, and extra orders are only placed while the basket is in profit.

How it works
1. Every 5 seconds the EA scores BUY vs SELL across five checks: EMA 9/21, price vs EMA 9, M15 EMA 100 trend, RSI, and ADX with DI direction.
2. When the signal is strong and confirmed twice in a row, one stop order appears.
3. Each additional order requires a stricter signal, a fresh confirmation, and a profitable basket.
4. Trailing stops lock in profit every 10 pips. A 30-pip loss closes the cycle.
5. After a profit or cut loss, the EA looks for the next strong signal immediately.

9. Single .mq5 file, standard MT5 indicators, no DLLs, no external connections

Requirements
1. MetaTrader 5 on desktop or VPS (not the mobile app)
2. Hedging account
3. XAUUSD with 2-digit pricing (1 pip = 0.10)
4. Stable connection; a VPS is recommended

Honest limitations
1. Default settings are starting points and have not been optimized. Run your own backtests and demo tests.
2. Indicator-based signals lag and can be noisy on M1. Choppy markets can produce several small losses in a row.
3. Trailing locks small profits (10 pips) while the cut loss is wider (30 pips), so the strategy needs a good win rate.
4. A cut loss closes all positions, including ones that are still profitable.
5. There is no news filter. Slippage can occur around major releases (NFP, CPI, FOMC).
6. Lot size is fixed by input and does not scale with balance. Pick a lot size that fits your account.

Recommended setup
Compile, run the Strategy Tester on several months of real tick data, then forward-test on a demo account for 2-4 weeks, and only then go live with minimum lot. Keep the account-level protection percentages above the loss of a single cut loss, and avoid running during high-impact news.
